JUMANDY´S TRAIL

(15 minute drive)
Original pre-Colombian trail that was the area’s first access to the lowlands. Named after the famous chief, Jumandy, for his valient defiance of the Spanish conquistadors, this trail lies within the Antisana reserve and passes through primary montane forest. Although a must for birders, we have also seen Spectacled Bear and Woolly Monkey along here.
